Job summary

Sentronics Precision Industry (M) Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a skilled CNC Supervisor to oversee daily machining operations across milling, turning, and multi-axis centers. You will plan workloads, monitor production progress, and ensure parts meet GD&T standards.

You will collaborate with CNC engineers on new trials, lead a team of technicians, drive OEE improvements, implement lean tools, and ensure strict safety and 5S adherence.

Sentronics Precision Industry (M) Sdn Bhd – Johor Bahru, Johor

• Oversee daily CNC machining operations across milling, turning, and machining centers for Factory 1 & 2.
• Plan, assign, and monitor daily workloads for CNC technicians and machine operators to ensure production targets are met.
• Coordinate job scheduling, material availability, and tooling readiness to minimize machine downtime and changeover time.
• Conduct regular floor walks to monitor machine status, production progress, and quality levels.
• Provide hands‑on technical support for complex machining issues including dimensional deviations, surface defects, tool breakage, and machine alarms.
• Review and verify CNC programs; approve program modifications and tool offset adjustments made by technicians.
• Lead root cause analysis for major quality rejects and machine breakdowns; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with CNC Engineers on new product trial runs, process validation, and design for manufacturability (DFM) feedback.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of CNC technicians and operators .
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and identify training needs for team members.
• Foster a positive work environment with strong emphasis on teamwork, discipline, and accountability.
• Manage shift schedules, attendance, and overtime arrangements to ensure adequate coverage.
• Drive initiatives to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reduce cycle time, and increase yield.
• Implement lean manufacturing tools (SMED, 5S, Kaizen) to enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze production data (output, downtime, scrap rate) and prepare improvement action plans.
• Recommend and evaluate new tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Ensure all machined components meet engineering drawing specifications and GD&T requirements.
• Oversee in-process inspection activities and ensure proper documentation of quality records.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations (OSHA/DOSH requirements) and company EHS policies.
• Ensure work areas maintain 5S standards at all times.
• Investigate and report any safety incidents or near‑misses; implement preventive measures.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports including output, yield, downtime, and manpower utilization.
• Conduct shift handover meetings and daily toolbox meetings with the team.
• Liaise with production planning, engineering, quality, and maintenance departments to resolve cross‑functional issues.
• Escalate major issues to the Production Manager promptly with recommended solutions.
