Job summary

Sentronics Precision Industry (M) Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a skilled CNC operator to perform machine setup, tool installation, and work coordinate calibration on milling, turning, and machining centers.

You will load and verify CNC programs, run dry-runs and first-off inspections before mass production, and conduct in-process quality checks using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges and other precision instruments. Overtime and rotating shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or CNC-related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on CNC operation and setup.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T principles.
• Proficient in using standard measuring instruments.
• Familiar with Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controls is an advantage.
• SKM Level 2 or 3 in machining is highly preferred.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts and overtime when required.
• Good teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setup, tool installation, and work coordinate calibration on CNC milling, turning, and machining centers.
• Load and verify CNC programs; execute dry-run and first-off inspections before mass production.
• Conduct in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.).
• Monitor tool wear, perform timely tool changes, and maintain tool life records.
• Carry out daily preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and coolant top-up.
• Identify and resolve basic machine alarms and errors; report major breakdowns to supervisors.
• Maintain production logs, inspection reports, and shift handover documentation.
• Comply with all safety regulations and 5S workplace standards.
