Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a CNC Machinist to develop and optimize CNC programs from engineering drawings. You will work closely with Engineering and Quality Assurance to enhance productivity and product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires proficiency in 5S and CNC machining, with experience in SolidWorks or AutoCAD and FANUC controllers. You will also train CNC machinists and setters as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with 5S in manufacturing environments.
• Proficient in CNC machining processes and FANUC controllers.
• Proficient in engineering drawings, SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of 3-axis and 4/5-axis CNC machines a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs from engineering drawings.
• Work with Engineering & QA to improve quality and productivity.
• Design machining processes based on customer requirements and plans.
• Support first run/start-up of CNC programs and troubleshoot errors.
• Monitor machining times and optimize methodologies.
• Coordinate with CNC Supervisor on prototypes or new processes.

• 1. To manage 5S activity in the department.
• 2. Good understanding of tooling and machining processes and proficient on FANUC controllers.
• 3. Proficient in engineering drawing/ Solid work / Auto cad software.
• 4. Knowledge in 3 axis and 4/5 axis CNC machine is added advantage.
• 5. To create programs for CNC Machining according to drawing given.
• 6. Work closely with Engineering & Quality Assurance Department to enhance the quality & productivity.
• 7. Design machining process by studying customer requirement on engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, machining parameters etc.
• 8. Support first run and start-up of CNC Programs.
• 9. Assist and supervise troubleshooting program errors.
• 10. To monitor machining times and optimize from time to time by implementing new techniques and methods.
• 11. Coordinate with CNC Supervisor in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
• 12. Provide training for CNC Machinist and CNC Setter.
• 13. And any other job as assigned by the Management from time to time.
