Job description

We are looking for both role for CNC Setter Turning and CNC Setter Milling to join our manufacturing arm at our MKA Innovation Centre, Seri Cheeding Jenjarom !

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: -

Operate CNC milling / turning machines according to work order, production schedule and approved work instructions.

Independently perform complete CNC turning / milling machine setup and product changeover based on approved CNC programs and setup sheets.

Perform vise / fixture installation, workpiece clamping, datum / work-zero setting, tool installation and tool preparation.

Set and adjust work offsets and tool length / diameter offsets according to approved setup parameters.

Perform first-piece machining and dimensional inspection before mass production.

Perform cutting-tool changes due to wear or damage and make necessary tool-offset compensation to maintain product dimensions.

Operate CNC machines during production and monitor machining conditions, cycle time, tool wear, machine alarms and product quality.

Read engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and basic GD&T requirements.

Use measuring instruments such as digital/vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge and bore gauge for first piece and in-process inspection.

Identify and troubleshoot common machine issues including dimensional variation, tool wear, chatter, poor surface finish, burrs and abnormal cutting conditions.

Perform basic machine parameter / cutting-condition adjustments within approved process limits when required.

Follow approved CNC programs, setup sheets, work instructions and control plans. No unauthorized CNC program modification.

Report major machine, tooling, quality, program or process issues to the Supervisor / CNC Programmer.

Support and guide CNC Operators in machine operation, quality checking and basic troubleshooting when required.

Ensure machines achieve daily production targets, quality requirements and cycle-time standards.

Ensure proper shift handover, including machine status, production quantity, tooling condition, quality issues and outstanding problems.

Maintain CNC machines, cutting tools, holders, fixtures and working areas in a clean and safe condition.

Support new-product trials, process improvement and tooling improvement when required.

Follow all company safety, quality and production requirements.

Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor / Management.

JOB REQUIREMENT: -

Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on CNC turning / milling experience, with at least 1 year of CNC Machine setup / setting experience preferred.

Able to independently perform complete milling-machine setup and product changeover using existing approved CNC programs.

Able to perform fixture / vise setup, workpiece datum setting, tool installation, tool setting, work-offset setting and first-piece verification.

Familiar with common milling cutting tools, tool holders and basic cutting conditions.

Able to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions, tolerances and basic GD&T.

Able to understand basic CNC codes and machine settings; CNC programming is not required.

Able to use measuring instruments such as digital/vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge and bore gauge.

Able to identify and troubleshoot common milling, tooling and quality problems. Able to perform cutting-tool replacement and offset compensation to maintain machining quality.

Able to guide and support CNC Milling Operators when required.

Able to work 24-hour / 3-shift rotation, including night shift, weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsible, disciplined, independent and able to work under pressure.
