Job summary

RC Precision Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate 3-axis CNC machining centers and above, conduct first-piece inspections, and optimize tooling to meet quality standards.

You will read engineering drawings, adjust parameters, and collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to achieve production targets while maintaining 5S and safety practices on rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on with 3-axis CNC centers and above; GD&T and QC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC centers per work instructions.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for CNC machining operations, ensuring product quality, and achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate 3-axis CNC machining centers and above according to work instructions and production requirements.

Perform first-piece inspection after tool changes and conduct in-process quality checks to ensure product specifications are met.

Adjust or replace cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters to maintain machining performance.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, setup sheets, job routers, and inspection plans.

Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize machine performance to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.

Ensure proper handling and reuse of cutters/inserts to minimize waste and control tooling costs.

Maintain machine cleanliness and workplace organization according to 5S standards.

Complete assigned tasks within required cycle time and production targets while following safety and quality procedures.

Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to support production goals.

Requirements

Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Higher Diploma / Graduate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC machining or manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience operating CNC machining centers (3-axis and above).

Good understanding of CNC machining processes, GD&T, and quality control.

Experience with Mastercam is an added advantage.

Experience handling Dah Lih and KAFO CNC machines is an added advantage.

Experience using Zoller Tool Presetter for tool measurement and offset setting is an added advantage.

Able to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments.

Willing to work on rotating shifts.
