Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Setter to join our manufacturing team in Malaysia. The successful candidate will independently set up and operate Brother and FANUC CNC machines, read engineering drawings, and select cutting tools and parameters to ensure quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include tool setting, work offset, program adjustments, and in-process inspection. Overtime is available, with EPF/SOCSO/EIS provided according to company policy.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC setting experience on Brother and FANUC machines.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
• Ability to perform tool setting and work offset setting.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand 2D engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances
• Select suitable cutting tools and machining parameters
• Make program, offset and parameter adjustments when required
• Perform in-process inspection using vernier calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot basic machining, tooling and dimensional issues
• Maintain product quality and achieve production targets
• Maintain CNC machines, tools and work areas in good condition
• Follow company safety and quality procedures

About you

Experience as a CNC Machinist / CNC Setter

Must have hands-on experience setting Brother and FANUC CNC machines

Able to perform CNC machine setup independently

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

Good knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds and machining processes

Able to use precision measuring instruments

Knowledge of G-code / M-code is an advantage

CNC programming or CAM experience is an added advantage

Responsible, hardworking and able to work independently

Overtime available according to company policy
