• Certificate or diploma in machining, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or a related technical field.
• Relevant experience in CNC machining preferred.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines according to drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Perform machining to achieve required dimensions, tolerances and surface finish.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining requirements.
• Prepare suitable cutting tools, fixtures and machining parameters.
• Carry out basic CNC setting, offset adjustment and tool changes.
• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Monitor processes and adjust to ensure product quality.
• Report machine abnormalities or defects to the Supervisor.
• Maintain CNC machines, tools and work areas in safe condition.
• Follow safety procedures, quality requirements and production schedules.
• Complete production and inspection records as required.
• Perform other machining or production-related duties as assigned.

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines. The role involves ensuring precision in production, performing troubleshooting and machine maintenance, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The machinist will also work with engineering data to fabricate products accurately while maintaining machine performance and meeting production goals.

Job Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines according to drawings, specifications and work instructions.

Perform machining work to achieve the required dimensions, tolerances and surface finish.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical drawings and machining requirements.

Select and prepare suitable cutting tools, fixtures and machining parameters.

Carry out basic CNC machine setting, offset adjustment and tool changes.

Inspect finished components using appropriate measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers and gauges.

Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality.

Perform basic troubleshooting and report machine abnormalities or defects to the Supervisor.

Maintain CNC machines, tools and work areas in good and safe condition.

Follow company safety procedures, quality requirements and production schedules.

Complete relevant production and inspection records as required.

Perform other machining or production-related duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

Certificate / Diploma in Machining, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or related technical field.

Relevant experience in CNC machining is preferred.

Able to read and understand engineering drawings.

Familiar with measuring instruments and machining tools.

Knowledge of CNC machine setup and operation is an advantage.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Willing to work overtime or shifts when required.
