Broadway Precision Technology Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our precision manufacturing team.

The role focuses on Mastercam programming to generate safe, efficient G-code for our multi‑axis mills, lathes and mill‑turn centers, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality parts. You will translate blueprints and GD&T, optimize toolpaths, simulate to prevent collisions, assist setup and first article inspection, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on CNC programming experience.
• Advanced Mastercam proficiency (latest version preferred).
• Strong knowledge of G-code/M-code and GD&T.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in using Mastercam software to generate efficient, accurate, and safe G-code for our CNC milling and turning centers. You will be the critical link between our engineering designs and the final machined components, ensuring we meet tight tolerances and high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Mastercam Programming: Create, edit, and optimize 2D and 3D toolpaths using Mastercam software for multi-axis CNC machines (Mills, Lathes, and Mill-Turn centers).

Blueprint Translation: Interpret complex engineering blueprints, 3D CAD models (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.

Process Optimization: Determine the most efficient machining sequences, calculate optimal feeds and speeds, and select the appropriate cutting tools and fixtures for various materials (e.g., aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, plastics).

Simulation & Verification: Run thorough digital simulations within Mastercam to verify toolpaths, prevent machine collisions, and minimize material waste before physical production begins.

Setup & First Article Inspection: Assist CNC Set-up Machinists with initial machine setups, oversee the first article run (dry runs), and troubleshoot any programming or machining issues at the machine control panel.

Documentation: Maintain organized files of all Mastercam programs, setup sheets, and tooling lists for future production runs.

Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor production cycle times and tool wear, refining existing Mastercam programs to improve efficiency and extend tool life.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience as a CNC Programmer in a precision engineering or manufacturing setting.

Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Mastercam (latest versions preferred). Familiarity with CAD software for minor model adjustments is a strong plus.

Technical Knowledge:

Deep understanding of G-code and M-code programming.

Strong knowledge of cutting tool geometries, materials, and applications.

Ability to precisely read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.

Machine Operation: Prior experience operating and setting up CNC machinery is highly preferred to ensure practical, machine-friendly programming.

Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues on the shop floor.

Communication: Ability to work collaboratively with machinists, engineers, and quality control inspectors.
