Job summary

ISoftstone Pte. Ltd. seeks a Cloud Operation and Maintanence Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to manage Huawei Cloud NA resources, ensuring availability, security, and continuous delivery.

You will monitor systems, investigate incidents, perform improvements, and coordinate with customers on performance testing and risk management. The role requires 5+ years in cloud operations, strong Linux skills, and solid English communication.

Qualifications

Job description

Cloud Operation and Maintanence Engineer

1.Responsible for the operation and maintenance of cloud resources such as network, computing, storage, databases, and security for Huawei Cloud NA customers, including monitoring and inspection, problem handling, changes, emergency response to failures, risk management, continuous delivery, and automation of operations.

2.Responsible for service availability architectural design at Huawei Cloud sites, supporting customers about performance pressure testing, fault drills, monitoring system optimization, security reinforcement, cloud-native migration and transformation, leading the optimization and implementation of key risk points.

3.Responsible for operational capabilities construction for Huawei Cloud customers, building operational platform capabilities, continuously improve the level and efficiency of cloud operation and maintenance service.

4.Provide optimization and transformation implementation or suggestions for customer business needs, such as performance capacity assessment, rate limiting and downgrade plans, complex SQL optimization, and operational process improvement.

5.Provide major festival service protection for NA customer, ensuring the overall stability and continuity of business.

6.Engage in daily technical exchanges with users, summarize on-site work, and report regularly.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or above in science and engineering related fields, with a priority for computer science, communication, software engineering, and other related majors. Have more than 5 years cloud operation and maintenance experience, proficient in Linux, understanding of TCP/HTTP protocols, ability to analyze common network issues, and familiarity with common services such as DNS, NTP, DHCP.

2. Be able to undertake the technical solution and delivery management of the HCS O&M service, covering proactive prevention, version evolution,O&M management, and basic O&M.

3.Excellent communication skills and customer service awareness, be able to locate and demarcate cloud problems, and take the lead in problem closure.

4. Be familiar with tenant O&M processes, such as backup management, resource inspection, requirement management, risk management,asset management, expense analysis, and monitoring and warning.

5.Familiar with cloud computing (public cloud and private cloud) or general IT technologies, such as networks, operating systems databases, middleware products of major software vendors, or basic IT components.

6.Good team collaboration and communication skills, willingness to share, and a strong customer service consciousness.

7.Be fluent in English, speaking, reading, and writing.
