Job summary

iSoftStone is seeking a capable Cloud Support Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to join its regional team. You will handle technical issues for a Public Cloud service, assist customers migrating to the cloud per the SOW, and deliver implementation work as required by projects.

Strong Linux skills and programming ability (Java/Go/Python) are essential, as is experience with cloud-native tech such as Kubernetes and Docker.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience with cloud platforms.
• In-depth understanding of Linux systems and CLI.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with NTP, YUM, DNS, firewall and related tech.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Chinese and English.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle technical issues related to one of the Public Cloud services and provide technical solutions to customers.
• Assist customers in migrating to the cloud according to the service Statement of Work (SOW) and deliver implementation work as required by projects.
• Complete project-related tasks assigned by the technical manager on time and ensure quality delivery.
• Possess analytical skills to tackle complex issues and follow up on problem resolution progress until the issues are resolved.
• Summarize customer usage scenarios and promptly update documentation for new issues.
• Take responsibility for improving team efficiency and enhancing productivity through the use of automation tools.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related field, preferably with 1-3 years of experience in using and developing on cloud platforms.
• In-depth understanding of Linux systems, command line proficiency, and familiarity with system architecture and operations.
• Strong computer fundamentals and proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python.
• Prior knowledge of cloud computing and cloud-native technologies (such as K8S and Docker) is needed.
• Familiarity with common services, including NTP, YUM, DNS, firewall, and other related technologies.
• Ability to quickly analyze and solve problems, with a strong sense of technical acumen and risk identification.
• Excellent summarization skills and ability to organize documentation effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Chinese and English. (this role required to work in a regional team)
