Job summary

INFORMATION2 SOFTWARE (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to establish and lead the Malaysia technical team, deliver product explanations and PoCs, and craft technical solutions. You will prepare bids, support marketing demos, and align with sales on performance targets.

The role requires a computer-related bachelor's degree, English or Bahasa Malaysia fluency, and broad cloud, virtualization, and database knowledge with a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer-related fields and English or Bahasa Malaysia communication ability.
• Experience with Windows/Linux/Unix, storage and network basics.
• Familiarity with Router/Switch, WAN/LAN maintenance and management.
• Knowledge of SQLServer, Oracle, MySQL and data backup methods.
• Understanding cloud architectures (public/private/hybrid) and virtualization, with pre-sales/implementation exposure.
• Experience with big data platforms CDH/TDH/FusionInsight and data warehouse components.
• Backup software experience and localMalaysia working experience preferred.
• Strong communication, responsibility and service orientation.
• Certifications like CCNA/MCSE/RHCE/OCP and SI experience are a plus.
• Experience in data disaster recovery and backup industries; VMware/Citrix foundation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the technical team in Malaysia with product explanations and PoCs.
• Compile technical solutions for projects, prepare bids and provide explanations.
• Collaborate with marketing to demonstrate applications and write publicity materials.
• Collaborate with sales to achieve performance indicators.
