E Charis Consult in Johor Bahru is seeking a Civil and Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. This full-time role involves designing, analyzing and overseeing civil and structural projects, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance across sites in Malaysia.

You will collaborate with architects and contractors, perform detailed analyses, prepare construction documents and mentor junior engineers.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, ETABS, SAP2000 or similar software.
• Solid knowledge of Malaysian building codes and regulations.
• Excellent understanding of structural analysis and construction methodologies.
• Good project management and organizational skills with multi-project capacity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; willingness to travel to sites.
• Experience with BIM is preferred.

About the role

E Charis Consult is seeking a talented Civil and Structural Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Johor Bahru District, Johor. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to design, analyse and oversee the construction of civil and structural projects that shape our built environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality engineering solutions whilst ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors to bring ambitious projects to life.

Key responsibilities

Design and develop structural systems for buildings, bridges and infrastructure projects using industry-standard software and engineering principles

Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet safety codes, building regulations and client specifications

Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction documents for project implementation

Perform site inspections and supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to design standards and quality requirements

Collaborate with architects, contractors and other stakeholders to resolve design challenges and optimise project delivery

Review and approve engineering plans, reports and documentation from junior staff and contractors

Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed structural solutions

Ensure all project work complies with relevant building codes, environmental regulations and industry standards

Maintain accurate project records and documentation for regulatory and quality assurance purposes

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline

Minimum 4 years of professional experience in civil or structural engineering. However fresh graduate are encouraged to apply

Strong proficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, ETABS, SAP2000 or similar applications

Comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian building codes, standards and regulations

Excellent understanding of structural analysis, design principles and construction methodologies

Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and clients

Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in technical work

Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required

Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) is preferred

Experience in specific sectors such as commercial buildings, residential developments or infrastructure projects would be advantageous
