Civil and Structural Engineer (Junior Executive)

About the role N & N Material Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a talented Civil and Structural Engineer (Junior Executive) to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Pekan Nanas, Johor. As a Junior Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, analysis, and implementation of civil and structural engineering projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise whilst contributing to meaningful infrastructure and construction initiatives. You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining valuable hands-on experience in project delivery and structural design within a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities

Assisting in the design and analysis of structural systems, foundations, and building components using industry-standard software and methodologies

Conducting site inspections and surveys to assess project conditions and gather data for design and planning purposes

Preparing technical drawings, plans, and specifications in accordance with relevant building codes and standards

Supporting the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies

Collaborating with senior engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure design integrity and project compliance

Performing calculations and simulations to verify structural performance and safety requirements

Maintaining accurate project documentation and maintaining records in accordance with company procedures

Liaising with clients and stakeholders to communicate project updates and technical information

Contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline

Recent graduate or up to 3 years of post-graduation experience in civil or structural engineering

Strong understanding of structural design principles, building codes, and construction practices

Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, or other structural analysis software

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, with capability to present technical information clearly

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Professional commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance

Preferably registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Malaysia
