Job summary

Classic Green Engineering Sdn Bhd is recruiting a Civil Engineer for our Johor Bahru team. This full-time role focuses on design, planning and execution of civil projects, ensuring structural integrity, safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field.
• Professional registration or PE status desirable.
• 2-3 years' experience in civil or structural engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP 2000 or similar software.
• Solid knowledge of Malaysia building codes and safety standards.
• Excellent technical drawing and drafting skills.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis and construction methods.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, presentation and written skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects; willingness to travel.

About the role

Classic Green Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure and construction projects that shape our built environment. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, planning, and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet structural integrity, safety, and sustainability standards. Key responsibilities

Design and develop civil engineering projects, including feasibility studies, technical drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software and methodologies

Conduct site investigations and geological surveys to assess project conditions and identify potential challenges

Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Supervise and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, building codes, and safety regulations

Carry out inspections and quality assurance checks throughout all project phases to maintain construction standards

Collaborate with architects, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders to coordinate project delivery and resolve technical issues

Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet safety requirements and engineering standards

Prepare technical reports, documentation and project specifications for clients and regulatory authorities

Monitor and manage project risks, addressing any deviations from plans and implementing corrective measures

Stay current with advances in civil engineering technology, building codes and best practices in the industry

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field from a recognised institution

Professional registration or eligibility for Professional Engineer (PE) status with the relevant engineering body is highly desirable

Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in civil or structural engineering, preferably in design, site management or project supervision

Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP 2000 or similar programmes

Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards and regulatory requirements applicable in Malaysia

Excellent technical drawing and drafting skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering plans

Solid understanding of structural analysis, material properties and construction methodologies

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in technical work

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with project management tools

A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
