Job summary

A leading Southeast Asian company is seeking a professional for a Channel Development role based in Kuala Lumpur. This position involves prospecting and managing channel partners, conducting market research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance performance. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the Finance or Software Tech industries, and a Bachelor's degree. Job description
Channel Development

Responsible for prospecting, negotiating, and signing channel partners in the Southeast Asia region to establish a high‑quality, extensive coverage channel network, with a focus on breaking through in key countries and the financial industry vertical.

Partner Operations

Execute the tiered partner management system and enablement programs, including product training, sales coaching, and marketing activity support, to enhance partners' overall operational capabilities and loyalty, and drive them to efficiently achieve sales targets.

Relationship Management

Maintain long‑term cooperative relationships with key channel partners, promptly resolve issues encountered by partners regarding products, services, or policies during collaboration, and coordinate internal resources (Product, After‑sales, Legal, etc.) to ensure smooth channel cooperation.

Cross‑functional Collaboration

Work closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, After‑sales, and other departments to drive the execution of regional channel marketing activities, communicate channel needs and market feedback, and collaborate on product localization, brand promotion, and related tasks.

Performance Achievement

Based on the department's overall business plan, break down regional channel performance targets, develop tailored channel expansion and sales strategies, monitor performance progress, and timely adjust and optimize plans to ensure the successful achievement of annual and quarterly goals.

Market Insight

Conduct in-depth research on market dynamics, competitor channel strategies, policies, regulations, and industry trends in the Southeast Asia region. Produce market analysis reports to provide decision‑making support for company channel strategy adjustments, product iterations, and market positioning.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or above. Preference given to majors in International Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.

Experience: 3-5 years of channel development and management experience in the Southeast Asia market. Preference given to those with relevant industry (Finance, Software Tech, Internet) channel operations experience. Familiarity with the market environment, channel ecosystem, and business practices in key Southeast Asian countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam) is required.

Competencies: Possess mature channel development capabilities and a considerable reserve of channel resources. Must have proven experience successfully building a channel network and achieving performance targets in the Southeast Asia region. Strong English communication skills (fluent in listening, speaking, reading, and writing) are essential. Knowledge of a local Southeast Asian language (e.g., Indonesian, Malay, Thai) is a plus.

Role Fit: Capable of independently managing regional channel business, with a strong sense of purpose, resilience under pressure, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Possession of resources with leading channel partners in the Southeast Asia region, or prior experience responsible for Southeast Asia channel business in multinational corporations or cross‑border e-commerce platforms is preferred.

Demonstrated success in planning and executing channel marketing activities in the Southeast Asia region, resulting in significant sales growth, is a plus.

Pre‑sales experience with the ability to independently present company products and solutions is a plus.
