Job summary

Kah Motor Company Sdn Bhd, a leading Honda dealer in Malaysia, is seeking a service technician in Penang. Candidates with a Diploma in Automotive Engineering and experience at an authorised dealership will have an advantage; fresh graduates are welcome as training will be provided.

Ideal candidates should understand English to undergo Honda Malaysia training and participate in tests. The role involves preventative maintenance, diagnostics and vehicle servicing across Honda passenger cars.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Automotive Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Experience in an authorised car dealership workshop is an added advantage (Honda preferred).
• Fresh graduates are welcome; training will be provided.
• Must be able to comprehend English to undergo training and sit for tests from Honda Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle preventive and routine maintenance per the maintenance schedule.
• Carry out oil changes, brake inspections, etc.
• Conduct air conditioning services and repair; wheel alignment, balancing and rotation.
• Inspect and replace air conditioning parts; check tire thickness and condition.
• Perform repairs, overhauls and major servicing.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve vehicle issues.
• Install vehicle accessories.
• Ensure all work follows SOP and training; complete tasks in the job sheet within lead time.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and proper inventory of tools.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm; Saturday 8.30am - 1.30pm

Candidate Requirements

Candidate MUST have Diploma in Automotive engineering or equivalent

Experience in authorised car dealership workshop is an added advantage (especially from Honda)

Want to further improve technical knowledge or learn about Honda brand

Able to comprehend English to undergo training & sit for test from Honda Malaysia

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply as training will be provided

Job Description

Conduct vehicle preventative and routine maintenance task according to maintenance schedule

Make oil change, brake inspections, etc

Conduct air conditioning services, repair air conditioning system and/or conduct wheel alignment, balancing and wheel rotation

Inspect and replace air conditioning parts and/or inspect tire thickness & condition or tire changing

Conduct repair, overhaul and major service

Troubleshoot, diagnose and solve issues of vehicles

Install vehicle accessories

Ensure that all work done is following SOP and training

Complete all tasks in job sheet within the lead time

Ensure that customer's vehicle is well taken care of

Provide accurate explanation of any issues with the car to service advisor

Maintain cleanliness & tidiness of work space and proper inventory of work tools
