Job summary

Career Wise in Penang is seeking a proactive Business Development professional to identify new opportunities, engage with clients and strategic partners, and deliver compelling proposals. You will analyze market trends, negotiate deals, and support onboarding and project delivery with internal teams.

The ideal candidate has proven BD and sales experience in building materials, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the willingness to travel across Malaysia to win opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building material business development, sales, or a related field within the aforementioned services sector.
• Strong knowledge in building and construction material is required.
• Demonstrated and proven track record of successfully identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Excellent negotiation and closing skills with a results-driven mindset.
• Proficiency in market research and competitive analysis.
• Self-motivated and ambitious with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools
• Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, engineering, marketing or a related discipline.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia as required.
• Preferred: Experience in the manufacturing and construction sector industry.
