The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the Malaysian construction market, and a strong network with contractors, consultants, developers and other stakeholders. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, tracking ongoing and upcoming projects, and presenting BIM, CAD and digital engineering solutions to clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in business development/sales within the construction, engineering, AEC or related industry.
• Strong understanding of the Malaysian construction market.
• Good knowledge of major and upcoming construction projects across Malaysia.
• Established network and connections within the construction industry.
• Experience or exposure to BIM, CAD, digital engineering or construction technology is preferred.

Job description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive business opportunities across Malaysia. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of the Malaysian construction market, strong awareness of ongoing and upcoming projects, and an established network of contractors, consultants, developers and other key industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities across Malaysia.

Track and understand ongoing, upcoming and awarded construction projects across Malaysia.

Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, developers and project stakeholders.

Identify potential clients and opportunities for our BIM, CAD and digital engineering solutions.

Conduct client meetings, presentations and business discussions.

Prepare proposals, follow up on leads and support business conversion.

Work closely with our technical and business development team in Johor Bahru to develop suitable solutions.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in business development/sales within the construction, engineering, AEC or related industry.

Strong understanding of the Malaysian construction market.

Good knowledge of major and upcoming construction projects across Malaysia.

Established network and connections within the construction industry.

Experience or exposure to BIM, CAD, digital engineering or construction technology is preferred.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills.

Proactive, commercially driven and able to work independently.
