Job summary

PolicyStreet is seeking a driven sales/BD professional in Kuala Lumpur to identify and reach out to prospective clients who can benefit from our insurance solutions. You will build a robust pipeline through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, events, and referrals, and qualify leads for senior team members.

You will support proposals and pitch materials, keep CRM records up to date, and represent PolicyStreet at industry events.

Qualifications

• Must have 0–3 years in sales, business development, or a client-facing role.
• Strong command of English; Bahasa Malaysia a plus; Mandarin/Cantonese a bonus for wider reach.
• Comfortable with cold outreach via calls, emails, and DMs.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Identify and reach out to prospective clients (SMEs, corporates, and partners) who could benefit from our insurance solutions
• Build and manage a pipeline of leads through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, events, and referrals
• Qualify leads and set up meetings for senior sales team members to close
• Support the preparation of proposals, quotations, and pitch materials
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of leads and activity in our CRM
• Represent PolicyStreet at industry events, roadshows, and partner meetings when needed
• Hit monthly and quarterly targets for outreach activity and qualified meetings booked
• 0-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role (fresh graduates with the right drive are welcome to apply)
• Comfortable with cold outreach, ie: calls, emails, and DMs don't intimidate you
• Strong communication skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia is a plus, and Mandarin/Cantonese is a bonus for reaching a wider client base
• Organised and disciplined about following up, you don't let leads go cold
• Curious about insurance and financial services, or willing to get there fast
• Resilient; you're fine with hearing no and moving on to the next conversation
