PolicyStreet is a homegrown insurtech group delivering digital insurance solutions across Asia and Australia. The Accounts team handles AP, GL, and Controls & Compliance as part of the full accounting cycle.

The role requires a degree in accounting, strong reconciliation, and Chinese language proficiency to support international stakeholders. The team values independence, collaboration, and a drive to maintain robust internal controls while supporting financial reporting and audits in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or pursuing professional accounting papers.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting.
• Good reconciliation and closing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Xero experience is a bonus.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team.
• Experience in financial reporting within the insurance industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese to support international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage full AP cycle: invoice verification, coding, posting and payment processing.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyse GL transactions and prepare billing and journal entries; perform weekly bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing and prepare management reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal SOPs; uphold strong internal controls.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

A. Accounts Payable (AP)

• Manage full AP cycle: invoice verification, coding, posting and payment processing
• Ensure proper documentation and approval before payment
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor AP aging and ensure timely settlement
• Maintain accurate filing and audit trail

B. General Ledger (GL)

• Analyse transactions extracted from Data Warehouse and prepare the corresponding billing and journal entries.
• Perform weekly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing.
• Assist in preparation of management reports and audit schedules.

C. Controls & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal SOPs
• Maintain strong internal controls and proper documentation
• Identify and resolve reconciliation issues promptly

• Degree in Accounting or pursuing professional accounting papers.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting.
• Good reconciliation and closing skills
• Proficiency in MS Office is required, experience in the accounting software (Xero) is a bonus.
• Self-motivated and able to work well both independently and in a team.
• Experience in financial reporting within the insurance industry would be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese is required to support communication with Mandarin/Cantonese-speaking stakeholders across international markets
