Job summary

FJ Property Management (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Building Technician to support maintenance and technical operations of assigned property.

The successful candidate will perform routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshoot building systems to keep facilities safe and functional. You will assist in attending to maintenance requests, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining records of inspections and servicing.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM/Certificate/Diploma in electrical, mechanical, or building maintenance.
• 1–2 years’ relevant experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates may be considered.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and air-conditioning systems.
• Ability to identify and resolve basic technical issues.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily inspections of building facilities and common areas.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems.

Job description

FJ Property Management (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Building Technician to support the maintenance and technical operations of assigned property. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine inspections, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting building systems and equipment, and ensuring that all facilities are maintained in a safe, functional and efficient condition. The candidate will also assist in resolving technical issues, attending to maintenance requests and supporting the overall building operations.

Key responsibilities

Carry out daily inspections of building facilities, equipment and common areas to ensure they are in good working condition.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment.

Inspect, troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and other building-related systems, within the scope of competency.

Monitor and maintain lighting, pumps, motors, water supply systems, drainage systems and other building facilities.

Attend to maintenance complaints, technical issues and repair requests from residents, tenants and site management.

Identify building defects, equipment malfunctions and potential maintenance risks, and report them to the Building Executive / Building Manager.

Carry out minor repair works, replacement of faulty components and general maintenance tasks as required.

Assist in coordinating and monitoring contractors during repair, servicing and maintenance works.

Ensure maintenance activities are completed according to the required standards, safety procedures and timelines.

Maintain proper records of inspections, maintenance works, equipment servicing and technical issues.

About you

Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance, Facilities Management or a related technical field.

Minimum 1–2 years of relevant working experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.

Fresh graduates with relevant technical qualifications may also be considered.

Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, air-conditioning and general building maintenance.

Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve basic technical and maintenance issues.

Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and the use of basic maintenance tools and equipment.

Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and maintenance practices.

Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and understand basic English.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsible, hardworking, punctual and willing to learn.
