Talent Trader Group Pte Ltd in Malaysia seeks a Branch Manager to own branch operations, drive profitability, and lead Sales, CS, Logistics, and Finance. You will design regional strategies to hit targets and foster a customer-centric culture while controlling overheads.
You will supervise inventory, delivery, and order fulfillment, mentor supervisors, and implement governance, KPIs, and robust P&L management to sustain growth in the bearings distribution sector.
As the Branch Manager, you will take full operational and financial ownership of the branch, directing its overall performance, resource optimization, and profitability (P&L). Reporting directly to the Country Manager, this pivotal leadership role oversees and integrates all cross-functional departments, including Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance. You will design regional business strategies to aggressively hit sales targets, champion a customer-centric operational culture, control overhead expenses, and mentor a high-performing team to deliver sustainable growth within the industrial distribution sector.
1. Branch Leadership & Operational Governance
Cross-Functional Integration: Lead, coordinate, and align daily activities across Sales, Customer Service (CS), Logistics, and Finance departments to ensure flawless operational synchronization.
Accountability Frameworks: Establish transparent team KPIs, monitor execution, and promote a collaborative, high-performance, and customer-centric workplace culture.
Compliance & Governance: Enforce absolute adherence to corporate governance, legal risk mandates, standard operating procedures, and health and safety compliance metrics.
2. Sales Growth & Market Expansion
Strategic Execution: Formulate and execute aggressive localized branch sales strategies to hit corporate revenue, volume, and market-share targets.
Commercial Support: Partner actively with the business development team to drive high-value client acquisition, manage strategic key accounts, and evaluate robust pipeline developments.
Market Intelligence: Monitor shifting competitor movements and track emerging local industrial projects to capture new business avenues.
Fiscal Governance: Manage the comprehensive branch Profit & Loss (P&L) statement, tracking gross margins, operational expenses, and capital deployment.
Cost & Credit Control: Execute aggressive cost-containment measures and manage strict local credit control policies to optimize cash flow and maximize collection performance.
Performance Reviews: Analyze balance sheets and operational costs routinely, applying swift corrective actions when necessary to defend corporate profitability.
4. Supply Chain, Logistics & Customer Service
Inventory Optimization: Supervise regional warehouse operations, delivery logistics, and order fulfillment workflows to achieve premium service-level agreements (SLAs).
Stock Governance: Track inventory turnover rates meticulously, mitigating risk tied to excess, slow-moving, aging, or obsolete stock components.
Customer Experience: Monitor order accuracy, dispatch times, and resolution logs for customer complaints to ensure a premium, reliable customer touchpoint experience.
Talent Upskilling: Coach, mentor, and upskill cross-departmental supervisors and staff to strengthen localized organizational capabilities.
Talent Planning: Drive routine performance appraisals, identify high-potential employees, and establish robust internal succession planning.
Education: Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Corporate Management, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical/commercial discipline.
Management Tenure: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience operating in a dedicated Branch Manager, Operations Director, Sales Manager, or General Management capacity.
Industrial Domain Knowledge: Prior commercial experience within bearings distribution, industrial trading, power transmission products, industrial automation, or engineered mechanical products is highly preferred.
Financial & Business Acumen: Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting financial statements, auditing overheads, and managing a complete P&L framework.
Leadership Gravitas: Proven track record of successfully managing multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams and aligning distinct departments toward unified corporate goals.
Problem-Solving & Judgment: Strong corporate decision-making capabilities, advanced stakeholder management skills, and a high level of resilience under commercial pressure.
