AFFIN Bank Berhad in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales across deposits, loans, investments, and bancassurance, and ensure customer service excellence. You will oversee branch staff performance, enforce regulatory controls, manage costs, and coordinate business continuity and compliance programs, while nurturing a high-performing, customer-focused team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline.
Minimum 5-8 years of banking experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or branch management role.
Strong experience in retail banking sales, branch operations, and customer relationship management.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing branch profitability.
Strong understanding of retail banking products and services.
Sound knowledge of BNM regulations, compliance requirements, and operational risk controls.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
Strong business acumen and sales management capabilities.
Effective communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead a diverse team and drive a high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

Drive and achieve overall Branch Sales Target across deposits, investments, loans, bancassurance and credit cards, plus referrals.
Prevent fraud and losses; manage costs per budget.
Ensure staff discharge duties per Branch Manual, regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Maintain satisfactory audit ratings and timely closure of findings.
Act as BCM Coordinator and perform Business Continuity Plan & Call Tree exercises.
Act as BUCO Representative and CLO, ensure customer SLA and timely responses.
Act as Branch OSHA coordinator and ensure safety compliance.
Ensure compliance on regulatory and non-regulatory requirements through coaching.
