Job summary

AFFIN Group is seeking an experienced leader to head a high-performing branch team in Malaysia. You will drive sales across deposits, loans, investments, and insurance while ensuring strict compliance with banking regulations and internal controls.

The role emphasizes people development, operational discipline, and delivering excellent customer experiences in line with SLAs. A strong track record in retail banking leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail banking, with at least 2 years in a branch leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of banking products (loans, deposits, investments, insurance) and regulatory frameworks (BNM, AML/CFT).
• Proven ability to drive sales performance, manage branch operations, and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong customer service orientation.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with sound decision-making skills and risk/compliance management.
• Candidates currently holding roles such as Sales Team Lead, Sales Manager, or Senior Relationship Manager are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive overall branch sales across key products and referrals.
• Develop strategies and monitor performance to meet and exceed targets.
• Lead day-to-day branch operations in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Ensure staff adherence to controls, SOPs, and audit requirements.
• Oversee BCM, BUCO, CLO and OSHA roles and promote risk awareness.
• Provide coaching to foster a culture of compliance and service excellence.
