Job summary

AFFIN Group is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead branch operations in Malaysia. You will drive sales targets, manage deposits and loans, and oversee customer relationships while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust internal controls.

Responsibilities include staff leadership, training, auditing, CSR involvement, and maintaining high service levels per SLA. A bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years banking experience with 2–3 years in leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline.
• Professional banking certifications will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5-8 years of banking experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or branch management role.
• Strong experience in retail banking sales, branch operations, and customer relationship management.
• Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing branch profitability.

Responsibilities

• Drive and achieve overall Branch Sales Target.
• Deposit, Investment, Loans - ASBF, SMART MONEY & Education loan.
• Bancassurance & Banca Takaful products and Credit Card.
• Business referrals and prevention of fraud and losses (internal and external).
• Control costs as per budget and ensure satisfactory audit rating.
• Ensure staff discharge duties in accordance with Branch Manual, BNM Guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain internal controls and procedures; resolve audit findings within specified time.
• Monitor submission of reports within the specified time; act as BCM Coordinator and CLO.
• Act as BUCO Representative and Branch OSHA coordinator; ensure regulatory compliance via coaching.
• Provide customer service excellence per SLA; timely replies to CCQ and complaints handling.
• Manage resources: annual leave, attendance, branch meetings, trainings, recruitment, development, and KPI/JD awareness; conduct appraisals.
• Organize/ad-hoc tasks; act as reliever or key holder; participate in CSR activities; maintain cleanliness, safety, and security.
• Support learning and growth initiatives; participate in compliance trainings and special projects; promote AFFINBANK DNA and succession planning.
