Job summary

AFFIN Group is seeking a capable Branch Leader to guide a high-performing team in achieving strong business results while upholding service excellence and regulatory compliance. The role demands strategic leadership, operational discipline, and a passion for people development.

You will oversee sales across key products, drive customer-centric service, and ensure adherence to policies, audits, and statutory obligations. A minimum of five years in retail banking with branch leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail banking, with at least 2 years in a branch leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of banking products and regulatory/compliance frameworks (BNM, AML/CFT, etc.).
• Proven ability to drive sales performance, manage branch operations, and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong customer service orientation.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with sound decision-making skills and ability to manage risk and compliance matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day branch operations with adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and drive branch sales across key products including deposits, loans, investments, bancassurance and referrals.
• Develop strategies and monitor performance to meet monthly and annual sales targets.
• Ensure staff compliance with internal controls, SOPs, Branch Manual, and statutory obligations.
• Maintain audit outcomes by addressing findings and timely reporting.
• Fulfill oversight roles such as BCM Coordinator, BUCO Representative, CLO and OSHA Coordinator.
• Foster a culture of compliance through coaching, reminders, and risk awareness.
• Provide high-quality customer service in line with SLA standards and promptly address complaints.
