Job summary

Malayan Flour Mills is seeking a Boiler Operator to operate and monitor boiler systems, ensuring efficient performance and constant steam supply. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of boilers and related equipment, while maintaining burner efficiency and controlling fuel use.

The role requires a valid Boilerman Grade 1/2 Certificate of Competency, SPM qualification, and readiness for shift work including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM.
• Possess a valid Boilerman Grade 1 or 2 Certificate of Competency issued by DOSH, Malaysia.
• Relevant boiler operations experience will be an added advantage.
• Physically fit and willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, or overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boiler systems to ensure efficient performance, continuous steam supply, and compliance with operating parameters.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of boilers and related equipment.
• Maintain burner efficiency and optimize fuel consumption.
• Assist with scheduled shutdowns, machinery inspections, and certification requirements by relevant authorities.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping practices within the boiler room and surrounding areas.
• Comply with company safety policies, SOPs, and PPE requirements at all times.
• Keep accurate operational and maintenance records, and report any equipment defects, abnormalities, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
