Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Boiler Operator to maintain and supervise boiler operations at our Johor Bahru site. You will be responsible for hands-on operation, daily monitoring, and ensuring optimal boiler performance in a demanding Industrial setting.

The role requires a Boilerman Certification Grade 2 and a proactive, team‑oriented approach with the ability to coordinate maintenance activities, prepare monthly reports, and liaise with contractors and authorities while adhering to

Qualifications

• Boilerman Grade 2 certification issued by DOSH (required)
• Strong safety, health and environmental awareness
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and energy management
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Willingness to work long hours/overtime
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Maintain, hands-on operation and monitoring of boiler units to ensure efficient performance
• Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities for boilers
• Supervise personnel in charge and manage related admin tasks
• Prepare monthly inventory reports, maintenance reports and Boiler Log sheets
• Analyse and present findings reports to management
• Ensure boiler operations comply with SOPs and JKKP standards; keep daily logs updated
• Liaise with external contractors and relevant authorities
• Maintain a safe, clean boiler house and good housekeeping
• Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned

• Maintain, Hands on & Handling operation of the boilers unit by ensuring it is running in good conditions & operate in the most effective & efficient manner in daily operation.
• Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities pertaining to the boiler.
• Responsible for administration and supervision of personnel assigned to his/her charge.
• To prepare monthly inventory reports, maintenance report, Boiler Log sheet.
• To prepare, analyse and present the findings report to the management.
• Supervise, operate, manage, and maintain the steam boiler according to standard operation procedure (SOP) and JKKP standards. Monitor and ensure the boiler’s daily operation log is updated promptly and accurately.
• Liaise with external contractors & relevant authorities.
• To ensure safety working environment clean working area & maintain good housekeeping maintenance of boiler house
• Other ad hoc task assigned by superior.

REQUIREMENTS

• MUST HAVE Boilerman Certification Grade 2 certificate issued by DOSH.
• Self-motivated, and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Working knowledge of safety, health, environmental standards, and requirements.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, energy management concepts, and theories, as well as supply and demand side strategies for efficiency improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
• Must be able to work on long hours/over time.
• Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office Application
