Job summary

Menicon Malaysia is seeking a Boiler Operator to operate and maintain boilers, air compressors, bag filters and gas-related equipment. You will monitor performance, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous production while adhering to safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a technical certificate or diploma in Engineering, with at least 2 years’ boiler operation experience and a Grade 2 DOSH certificate.

Qualifications

• Education level: At least technical certificate or diploma in Engineering discipline or relevant field.
• Grade 2 Certificate of Competency as a Boilerman issued by DOSH.
• Year Experience: At least 2-year(s) experience in boiler operations and maintenance.
• Language: English & Bahasa Malaysia is compulsory.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boilers, air compressor, bag filter and gas related equipment to ensure continuous and efficient production.
• Monitor performance and parameters of boilers and related equipment, and adjust for optimal efficiency.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to prevent downtime and equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot boiler, air compressor, bag filter and gas related equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs promptly.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Manage boiler water treatment to prevent scale buildup, corrosion, and contamination.
• Record and maintain logs of boiler operations and maintenance activities for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and production requirements.
• Respond to emergencies such as leaks or pressure issues to mitigate hazards.
• Seek opportunities to improve boiler and related systems to reduce energy consumption.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operating and maintaining boilers, air compressor, bag filter & gas related equipment used in the manufacturing process to ensure continuous and efficient production.
• Monitoring boilers, air compressor, bag filter, chimney, clean room & gas related equipment performance and parameters regularly, making adjustments to achieve optimal efficiency.
• Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance to prevent downtime and equipment failures.
• Troubleshooting boiler, air compressor, bag filter & gas related equipment malfunctions and performing necessary repairs promptly to minimize production disruptions.
• Adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Managing boiler water treatment to prevent scale buildup, corrosion, and contamination.
• Recording and maintaining accurate logs of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and any incidents for regulatory compliance and future reference.
• Collaborating with other team members and departments to coordinate boiler, air compressor, bag filter & gas related equipment maintenance schedules and production requirements.
• Responding quickly to emergency situations such as leaks or pressure issues to mitigate potential hazards and prevent accidents.
• Proactively seeking opportunities to improve boiler, air compressor, bag filter & gas related equipment operations, reduce energy consumption, and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Any other task that had been assigned by superior from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Education level: At least technical certificate or diploma in Engineering discipline or relevant field.
• Certificate: Possess Grade 2 Certificate of Competency as a Boilerman issued by DOSH.
• Year Experience: At least 2-year (s) experience in boiler operations and maintenance.
• Capability: Strong technical knowledge of boiler operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety consciousness. Experience with air compressor, bag filter, clean room & gas related equipment will providing added advantage.
• Skills: Effective problem-solving, analytical abilities, attention to detail, able to work in a team environment.
• Language: English & Bahasa Malaysia is compulsory.
