Job summary

Golden Fresh in Penang seeks a Boilerman to operate and maintain boilers for daily production. You will plan preventive maintenance, monitor boiler health, and coordinate with contractors for repairs and inspections. The role requires SPM or higher, Boilerman Grade II, and at least 1 year in a boilerman role within a manufacturing setting. Long hours and rotating shifts are involved; independence and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have SPM or higher and Boilerman Steam Grade II certificate (JKKP).
• At least 1 year of boilerman Grade 2 experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Willing to work long hours and overtime.
• Able to work in rotation shifts.
• Must be responsible and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate boilers in good condition for daily production operations.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance to reduce unexpected boiler downtime.
• Monitor boiler performance and lifespan to avoid downtime.
• Prepare parts and coordinate repairs with contractors for maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure efficient steam boiler operation in conjunction with production processes.
• Maintain safe, clean working areas and good housekeeping of the boiler house.
• Prepare monthly inventory and maintenance reports, boiler log sheets.
• Ensure adequate fuel oil and chemicals for continuous operation.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and clean boiler area through periodic maintenance.
• Perform maintenance on pumps, piping, filters, valves and related tasks.
• Complete other ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor.

• 1. To maintain & operate the boilers ensure running in good conditions & operate in the most effective & effective manner in daily operation
• 2. To schedule and implement periodic preventive maintenance to reduce unexpected Boiler downtime.
• 3. To monitor and maintain consistency of Boiler, to lengthen the Boiler life span and to avoid downtime.
• 4. To make necessary part preparation & follow up with contractors if necessary repair & maintenance & annual inspections by relevant authorities
• 5. To ensure efficient operation of Steam Boilers together with Production processes.
• 6. To ensure safety working environment clean working area & maintain good housekeeping maintenance of Boilerhouse.
• 7. To make monthly inventory reports, maintenance report, Boiler Log sheet.
• 8. To ensure sufficient quantity of fuel oil & chemical available for continuous operation of Boiler.
• 9. To ensure a safe, comfortable and clean working area by periodic maintenance of the areas in and surrounding the Boiler House.
• 10. To performed maintenance service on the pump, piping, filter cleaning, valve fitting replacement and other maintenance work.
• 11. Others ad hoc task assign by superior.

Knowledge and Expertise Required

• 1. Must possess at least SPM and above and Certificate Minimum Category Boilerman Steam Grade II issued by JKKP
• 2. At least total 1 years working experience with boilerman Grade 2.
• 3. Experience in manufacturing environment
• 4. Must be able to work on long hours/over time.
• 5. Must able to work in rotation shift.
• 6. Responsible and able to work independently.
