Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in any relevant field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and allocate patient beds according to availability and needs.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges with doctors and departments.
• Handle patient admission, pre-admission registration and deposits.
• Manage insurance matters including GL, co-payment and room upgrades.
• Explain insurance coverage and estimated charges to patients.
• Monitor bed occupancy and maintain accurate records.
• Handle billing, payments, refunds and outstanding charges.
• Perform cashier duties and daily cash balancing.
• Assist patients and families with enquiries related to admission and insurance.

Job description

Responsible for the efficient allocation and management of patient beds within the hospital. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure optimal bed utilization, facilitating smooth patient admissions and discharges, and maintaining high standards of patient care and satisfaction.

• Manage and allocate patient beds according to availability, patient needs and room entitlement.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses and relevant departments on admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Handle patient admission, pre-admission registration and deposit collection.
• Manage insurance matters including GL, co-payment, room upgrades and additional approvals.
• Explain insurance coverage, exclusions and estimated charges to patients.
• Monitor bed occupancy and ensure accurate patient and bed records.
• Handle billing, payment collection, refunds and outstanding charges.
• Perform cashier duties, including daily cash balancing and cash handling.
• Assist patients and families with admission, insurance and accommodation enquiries.
• Ensure all processes comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor / HOD.

Requirement

• Diploma or above in any relevant field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Well-organized with strong attention to detail.
• Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
