Job summary

Gateway Search in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Manager to drive business development and revenue in the BESS and electrical power market. The role requires deep knowledge of Malaysia’s power sector and a proven track record in sales and account management.

You will build relationships with utilities, power producers, EPCs, consultants and developers, develop strategies, and manage the full sales cycle from opportunity to contract closure, coordinating with engineering and product teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Energy Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Malaysia's power/electrical/BESS market (as stated in job ad).
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to communicate technical solutions to customers.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue targets for BESS and other electrical power solutions in Malaysia.
• Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across the Malaysia power and energy market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with utilities, power producers, energy companies, EPC contractors, consultants, developers, and other relevant customers.
• Develop a strong understanding of customer requirements and provide suitable technical and commercial solutions.
• Monitor market trends, customer developments, competitor activities, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities within the Malaysia BESS and power sector.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including opportunity identification, customer engagement, solution positioning, and contract closure.
