Job summary

JAST B TRADING is seeking a dedicated bakery assistant to help prepare and bake bread, pastries, local kuih, and snacks. You will assist with measuring, mixing, shaping, portioning, decorating, and daily production tasks in a busy kitchen.

Applicants should have basic knowledge of bread and pastry preparation and be willing to learn recipes. Teamwork, punctuality, cleanliness, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of bread and pastry preparation is preferred.
• Previous bakery, pastry, or kitchen experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Malaysian local kuih is a plus.
• Willing to learn and follow recipes and preparation methods.
• Able to work efficiently in a kitchen environment.
• Responsible, punctual, clean, and organized.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing and baking bread, pastries, local Malaysian kuih, and snacks.

Help with measuring, mixing, shaping, portioning, decorating, and preparing baked products.

Assist the baker with daily preparation and production.

Prepare ingredients and ensure ingredients are stored properly.

Help with basic kitchen preparation and other food preparation tasks when required.

Keep the bakery and kitchen area, equipment, and workstations clean and organized.

Wash and clean baking equipment, utensils, trays, and work areas.

Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and safety practices.

Help with packing, displaying, and storing finished products.

Assist with stock checking and ingredient preparation.

Perform other reasonable kitchen and bakery duties as required.

Requirements
