Job summary

Geon Asia Systems in Malaysia is seeking an Installation Technician to perform installation, setup, testing, and basic configuration of Audio Visual systems on client sites. You will carry out cabling, TV wall mounting, projector and speaker installation, and equipment rack setup.

You will support troubleshooting, on-site testing, and commissioning, prepare service reports, handle tools and assets, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, IT, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience in AV or IT is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge in AV installation and cabling works is preferred.
• Able to use basic hand tools and power tools.
• Good attitude, responsible, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, setup, testing, and basic configuration of Audio Visual systems and equipment
• Carry out cabling works including HDMI, audio, network, and power cabling
• Assist in TV wall mounting, projector installation, speaker installation, and equipment rack setup
• Support troubleshooting, repair, servicing, and preventive maintenance activities
• Assist in onsite testing and commissioning works
• Prepare and submit Job Sheet Forms and service reports after work completion
• Ensure proper handling of tools, equipment, and company assets
• Follow safety procedures and company standards during onsite work
• Support warehouse preparation, equipment loading/unloading, and stock arrangement when required
• Support for company IT asset setup and trouble shooting
• Perform any other duties assigned by management

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, IT, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent

• 2-3 years experience in AV industry is preferrable

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

• Experience in Audio Visual or IT industry will be an added advantage

• Basic knowledge in AV installation and cabling works is preferred

• Able to use basic hand tools and power tools

• Good attitude, responsible, and willing to learn

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia

• Willing to travel, work outstation, and overtime when required
