Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks an AV Technician to set up, operate, maintain and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment for hotel events, meetings, and guest functions in Kuala Lumpur.

You'll support guests and organizers, coordinate with Banquet, Sales and Events teams, and ensure safety and equipment readiness for live events. Fresh graduates welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Audio Visual, Electronics, IT, or related field preferred.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of sound systems, projectors, mixers, microphones, lighting and video conferencing equipment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and dismantle AV equipment for meetings, conferences, weddings, banquets, and other hotel events.
• Operate audio, video, lighting, projector, microphone, sound system, LED screen, and related AV equipment during events.
• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
• Provide technical support to guests, event organizers, and hotel departments before and during events.
• Coordinate with Banquet, Sales, and Events teams to understand event requirements and ensure proper AV setup.
• Monitor sound and visual quality during events and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain inventory of AV equipment and report any damage or replacement needs.
• Ensure all AV operations comply with hotel safety standards and procedures.
• Assist in installing or upgrading AV systems when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the AV storage and control rooms.
