Job summary

PERSOL in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer (Industrial Automation) to drive solution-based sales across manufacturing and related sectors. The role focuses on converting customer requirements into integrated automation solutions, not merely selling components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level diploma/degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics or related field.
• At least 3+ years of sales experience in industrial automation, controls, drives, robotics, IIoT or related sectors.
• Experience handling project-based sales and tender submissions.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in manufacturing, electronics, machinery, packaging, logistics and process industries.
• Promote solution-based sales over component-based selling.
• Collaborate with customers to capture project requirements and propose automation solutions.
• Prepare quotations, technical proposals, tender submissions and bid documentation.
• Engage in RFQs, RFPs, and tender activities.
• Coordinate with technical teams to craft system architectures and commercial proposals.
• Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, system integrators, consultants, contractors and end users.
• Manage the sales cycle from opportunity to project award.
