Job summary

RA Robotics & Automation Sdn Bhd is seeking a driven Sales Engineer to be the face of RA to customers in Malaysia. You will manage the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities and customer visits to preparing technical proposals and closing projects, with direct mentorship from the Founder & MD and strong commission potential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in engineering or related technical field.
• 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, automation sales, or engineering project coordination.
• Solid understanding of industrial automation: robotics, PLCs, machine vision, Industry 4.0, etc.
• Able to read and interpret SOW documents, engineering drawings, and BOMs.
• Familiar with project scheduling tools such as Gantt charts, MS Project, or Excel.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Mandarin is a strong advantage due to Mandarin-speaking customers.
• Commercially driven with negotiation and closing abilities.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites in Kuching, Johor, and other locations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers in semiconductor, HDD, electronics, and precision manufacturing sectors.
• Conduct customer visits to understand production challenges, pain points, and automation needs.
• Present RA's capabilities — robotics, automation, Industry 4.0, AI, machine vision, OEM solutions.
• Proactively build a pipeline by engaging customers early in their project planning cycle.
• Maintain relationships with existing accounts to drive repeat and follow-on business.
• Obtain and review SOW documents from customers.
• Work with engineering to develop conceptual solutions and BOMs.
• Prepare accurate, competitive quotations and proposals.
• Prepare and maintain Gantt charts to track project progress and timelines.
• Coordinate with production planner on status, capacity and delivery schedules.
