About the role

RA Robotics & Automation Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Marketing Engineer to join our dynamic sales team in Kuching, Sarawak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our sales operations and building strong relationships with clients. As an Assistant Marketing Engineer, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our technical capabilities and our clients' business needs, contributing directly to the growth and success of our organisation in the automation and robotics sector.

Key responsibilities

Support the sales team in preparing technical documentation, proposals, and presentations for prospective clients

Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to clients, highlighting features and benefits of our robotics and automation solutions

Assist in identifying client requirements and translating technical specifications into practical solutions

Maintain and develop client relationships by providing ongoing technical support and product information

Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to ensure accurate delivery of technical solutions

Prepare quotations and cost analyses based on client requirements and project specifications

Gather market feedback and competitor information to support sales strategy development

Follow up with leads and clients to advance sales opportunities through the pipeline

Support the after-sales process, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing technical queries

Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system

What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience

Strong understanding of robotics, automation, or manufacturing technologies

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM software

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated customer service excellence and commitment to client satisfaction

Willingness to travel occasionally to meet clients and attend industry events

Fluency in English; proficiency in Malay and Mandarin Chinese is advantageous

Prior experience in sales, account management, or technical sales is preferred

Knowledge of the local Malaysian market and industry standards is a plus
