Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Assistant Section Head, Inventory Management in Klang City, Malaysia. You will oversee the team handling all goods, ensure accuracy of records, and drive improvements in storage and inventory processes.

The role requires hands-on leadership, the ability to train and coach team members, and proficiency in Excel and inventory systems to maintain orderly, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience in warehouse manufacturing and/or inventory management.
• Hands-on, proactive and able to manage tasks systematically.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and familiar with inventory management system.

Assistant Section Head, Inventory Management

Oversee the team in handling all incoming and outgoing goods in accordance with Company procedures, including verifying shipment quantities against packing lists prior to dispatch.

Assist in the recruitment, training, coaching and development of new team members.

Manage the inventory system by ensuring inventory records are accurately updated and all related documentation is properly maintained.

Review and continuously recommend improvements to existing goods storage and inventory management systems.

Ensure all raw materials and finished goods are properly stored, organised and segregated by the team.

Ensure timely reconciliation of physical stock against system records and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.

Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in warehouse manufacturing and/or inventory management.

Hands-on, proactive and able to manage tasks systematically.

Competent in Microsoft Excel and familiar with inventory management system.
