Job summary

Camwell Sdn. Bhd. seeks a procurement professional to source and negotiate with local and international suppliers, ensuring quality, timely delivery and cost-effective terms.

You will maintain records, issue POs and monitor supplier performance to support production schedules. Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communications are essential, with 3–5 years in manufacturing purchasing.

Responsibilities

Job description

This role involves sourcing, selecting and negotiating purchase packages from local and overseas suppliers and sub-contractors, with focus on quality, price, delivery terms and services. You will maintain purchasing records and pricing data in system, issue purchase orders, and monitor supplier delivery to ensure material availability for production schedules.

Key responsibilities

Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package from locally and overseas suppliers and sub-contractors in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services

Maintain complete updated purchasing records, data and pricing in system

Issue PO to supplier and monitor delivery from supplier to ensure material availability for planned production schedule

Prepare and analyze supplier performance on delivery on time, quality conformity, cost effectiveness and services, and provide periodical supplier performance reports

Review stock purchase by monitoring market conditions, current stock levels, lead time required for manufacturing, potential price increase, anticipation of new orders from customers and suppliers' conditions

Ensure all purchases are conducted in compliance with company Procurement Policy with proper documentation, processes and meet company systems requirements

Ensure the practice of the company's Code of Ethical Business Conduct

Avoid overstocking by working with the stock control department and operations department on slow-moving inventory

Ensure seamless integration with all departments

About you

Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Business, Administration, Management or any related field

Minimum 3 to 5 years working experience in manufacturing environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia

Able to multi-task and work under pressure and independently with minimum supervision, with ability to prioritize in an ever-changing environment

Preferably specialize in purchasing, inventory, material and warehouse management or equivalent

Willing to travel within Malaysia and internationally as when needed
