The Assistant Manager, Warehouse Operations supports the Warehouse Manager / Head of Operations in managing the day-to-day warehouse activities of an eCommerce fulfillment and service business. This includes overseeing inbound, outbound, inventory control, and fulfillment processes, as well as supervising warehouse teams on the floor. You will ensure orders are processed accurately and on time, client SLAs are met, and the warehouse runs safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. This role requires hands‑on leadership, strong attention to detail, and the ability to solve operational problems quickly while upholding safety, compliance, and service standards.
Support the Head of Operations in executing the warehouse operational plan in line with company growth and client requirements.
Implement and enforce warehouse policies, SOPs, and best practices across inbound, outbound, and inventory functions.
Plan daily and weekly warehouse activities, including shift schedules, workload allocation, and resource deployment to meet KPIs.
Monitor warehouse operating costs, consumables, and equipment usage, and recommend measures to control costs.
Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, returns, and quality control.
Ensure accurate, timely, and efficient fulfillment of orders across multiple brands and marketplaces.
Supervise warehouse supervisors, team leads, and operators, providing on‑the‑floor guidance and support.
Maintain an organized warehouse layout and storage system to maximize space utilization and picking efficiency.
Track and achieve warehouse KPIs, including order accuracy, on‑time dispatch, inventory accuracy, and productivity.
Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in warehouse processes and propose practical improvement solutions.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role in eCommerce, logistics, or fulfillment.
Strong hands‑on knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, fulfillment, and logistics.
Proven ability to supervise and motivate warehouse teams, including large shift‑based workforces.
Good analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience tracking operational KPIs and reports.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, eCommerce platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills; able to work with cross‑functional teams and clients.
Willing to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and peak seasons, in a fast‑paced environment.
