Job summary

Genting Simon Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Genting Plantations Bhd and Simon Property Group operates Premium Outlet Centers® in Malaysia. We are recruiting a proactive leasing professional to build relationships with Brand Partners for mall locations and present leasing opportunities.

You will lead negotiations, prepare offers, review tenancy terms with Legal, monitor expiry profiles, and provide weekly leasing updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing or related field.
• 5-7 years experience in relevant fields, preferably in shopping malls.
• Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Advanced Excel and sales reporting with strong data analysis.
• Strong understanding of retail market and submarket conditions.
• Interpersonal and leadership skills; able to multitask.
• Able to work independently and in a team; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and secure potential Brand Partners based on market trends and mall positioning.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Brand Partners, presenting leasing opportunities.
• Conduct offer preparation, negotiation, and deal structuring for lease terms.
• Review tenancy agreements with Legal Division for policy compliance.
• Monitor expiry profiles and engage in renewal discussions to secure extensions.
• Prepare Sales and Rent Analysis with strong data analytics.
• Liaise with inter-departments to ensure smooth handover and fit-out for new tenants.
• Address tenant requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Provide weekly leasing updates and reports to senior management.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the company.

Job description

Proactivelysource, identify, and secure potential Brand Partnersbased on market trends, leasing strategy, and mall positioning.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective Brand Partners, including presenting leasing opportunities and delivering compelling presentations.

Conductoffer preparation, negotiation, and deal structuringto secure optimal lease terms.

Review tenancy agreementswith Legal Division, ensuring compliance with company policies.

To monitor tenancy expiry profile and proactively engage in renewal discussions and secure lease extensions.

Prepare Sales and Rent Analysis with good analytical skills to analyse centre productivity.

Liaise closely with inter-departmentsto ensure smoothhandover and fit-out processesfor new tenants.

Addresstenant requirements and concerns, proposing tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction.

Provide weeklyleasing updates and reportsto senior management.

Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the company from time to time.

Job Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing or any related degree.

Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in relevant fields, preferably those who have experience in shopping malls.

Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).

Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc).

High proficient in Microsoft Excel and preparing Sales Report with good in depth data analytical skills.

Solid understanding of retail market and submarket conditions.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; meticulous, efficient, and able to multitask effectively.

Able to work independently and in a team.

Willing to travel and attend frequent meetings.

Strong customer service and brand partner management.
