Job summary

KPT PACKAGING SDN. BHD. is seeking an Assistant Accounts Manager to prepare monthly management accounts, finalize annual financial statements, and consolidate results for group entities.

You will ensure accurate recording, compliance with accounting standards, and robust internal controls to support smooth operations. You will monitor cash flow, working capital, and stocktaking, liaise with auditors, tax agents, and bankers, and coordinate IT issues within the Accounts Department.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent would be an advantage.
• Relevant working experience in accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and financial consolidation.
• Good knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, auditing, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and financial management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare and finalize annual financial statements and reports for audit purposes, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Consolidate monthly financial results for group companies and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Monitor the company's cash flow, working capital, and borrowing facilities to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operational requirements.
• Ensure effective internal controls, proper accounting procedures, and smooth operations within the Accounts Department.
• Manage and coordinate stocktaking activities, inventory control, and reconciliation to ensure accurate stock records.
• Oversee IT-related issues, including computer hardware and software troubleshooting, and liaise with external vendors to resolve technical problems.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, legal advisers, bankers, and debt collectors on financial, taxation, legal, and banking matters.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report departmental KPIs to ensure departmental objectives and targets are achieved.

About you

Possess a Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Good knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, auditing, and statutory compliance requirements
