About the role
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to join our manufacturing team at our Nilai, Negeri Sembilan facility. This is a full‑time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing assembly operations and ensuring smooth, efficient production processes. As Assembly Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of assembly workers, maintaining production schedules, and upholding our commitment to quality and safety standards. This position is integral to our operations and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our manufacturing excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and lead assembly line teams, ensuring all staff are trained and performing to company standards
- Monitor production schedules and ensure targets are met whilst maintaining quality standards
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of assembled products to identify and resolve defects
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols across the assembly area
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation for all assembly operations
- Identify process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Provide on‑the‑job training and coaching to assembly staff to develop their skills
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders
- Report on production metrics, issues and performance to management
- Respond to and resolve operational challenges and production bottlenecks
What we’re looking for
- Diploma in engineering or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven 3–5year experience in assembly or process operations preferably in a supervising role and manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- In‑depth knowledge of assembly processes, machinery operation, and production standards
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
- Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, specifications and production schedules
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work shifts as required by production demands
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with production management systems is advantageous
