Job summary

Bangi Plastics Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to join our Nilai, Negeri Sembilan facility. This full-time role oversees the assembly team, production schedules, and quality and safety commitments to keep operations efficient and compliant.

You will lead staff, conduct quality checks, maintain records, train staff, and coordinate across departments to meet orders and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven 3–5 years in assembly or process operations, with supervising experience.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of assembly processes and production standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing.
• Proficiency reading technical drawings, specs and production schedules.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead assembly line teams, ensuring staff are trained and performing to standards.
• Monitor production schedules and meet targets while maintaining quality.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to identify defects.
• Enforce health and safety protocols across the assembly area.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation for assembly operations.
• Identify process improvements and implement solutions to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to assembly staff.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and on-time orders.
• Report production metrics and issues to management.
• Address operational challenges and bottlenecks promptly.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to join our manufacturing team at our Nilai, Negeri Sembilan facility. This is a full‑time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing assembly operations and ensuring smooth, efficient production processes. As Assembly Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of assembly workers, maintaining production schedules, and upholding our commitment to quality and safety standards. Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead assembly line teams, ensuring all staff are trained and performing to company standards

What we’re looking for

• Diploma in engineering or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven 3–5year experience in assembly or process operations preferably in a supervising role and manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• In‑depth knowledge of assembly processes, machinery operation, and production standards
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, specifications and production schedules
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work shifts as required by production demands
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with production management systems is advantageous
