Jora Malaysia is seeking a Process Engineer to plan, design, and optimize assembly processes to meet production and quality targets. You will analyze performance data, reduce defects, and support assembly teams on process improvements.
Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to introduce new products, conduct time studies, and ensure ISO safety compliance. Factory-based role with potential overtime during launches.

Plan, design, and optimize assembly processes, tools, and workflows to meet production and quality targets.
Analyze process performance data and implement improvements to reduce defects, downtime, and costs.
Troubleshoot process-related issues and provide timely technical support to assembly teams.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for all assembly activities.
Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to introduce new products and ensure smooth transitions.
Conduct time studies and line balancing to enhance workflow efficiency.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
Train and guide operators and technicians on process requirements and improvements.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years of experience in process or production engineering, preferably in assembly operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma principles.
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant manufacturing tools/software.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Authorized to implement process adjustments and improvements within defined quality and safety limits.
Approve changes to assembly line setup, tooling, and work instructions after validation.
Factory-based role with frequent presence on the assembly floor.
Standard working hours with possible overtime during project launches or production ramp-up.
Mandatory use of PPE in operational areas.
Assembly Line Efficiency: ≥ 90% target uptime and productivity.
Defect Rate: ≤ 1% of total production output.
Process Improvement Implementation: At least 2 major process enhancements per quarter.
Downtime Reduction: Maintain unplanned downtime below 3% of total operating time.
Compliance: Zero safety or ISO non-conformances in assembly processes.
