Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic culinary qualification or relevant kitchen experience.
• Strong interest in food preparation and professional cooking.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily ingredient preparation including washing, cutting, marinating, and portioning.
• Support a designated kitchen section in preparing and executing specific menu items to the standards.
• Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Assist senior chefs during service periods.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Keep workstation clean and organized at all times.
• Comply with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with stock handling, proper storage, and minimising food wastage.
• Participate in mise en place, opening, and closing kitchen duties as assigned.
