Job summary

HTC Global Services MSC Sdn Bhd is seeking a COBOL developer to translate business needs into technical specifications for core banking payment systems.

You will develop and enhance COBOL programs on AS400, manage batch processing and interfaces with DB2, and oversee source control and deployments using Aldon, collaborating across BAs, QA, and technology teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years COBOL development experience, preferably in banking/financial services
• Strong hands-on experience in AS400/IBM i, COBOL and DB2
• Experience with Aldon or similar source code/version control and deployment tools
• Strong understanding of batch processing, file handling and system integration
• Proven SDLC experience from requirements to warranty support

About you

Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline

5+ years of COBOL development experience, preferably in banking or financial services

Strong hands-on experience in AS400 / IBM i, COBOL and DB2

Experience with Aldon or similar source code/version control and deployment tools

Strong understanding of batch processing, file handling, database processing and system integration

Proven experience across the full SDLC, including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment and warranty support

Experience in core banking, payment systems or financial transaction processing is highly preferred

Good analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
