Job summary

HTC Global Services MSC Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced COBOL Developer to support a core banking payment platform serving 10+ countries across APAC. The role involves end-to-end application development, from requirements analysis and design through development, testing, implementation and warranty support; this is not a pure maintenance role.

Responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, translating them into solutions, coding, testing and production implementation using COBOL

Qualifications

6–12 years of COBOL development experience.
Hands-on experience with AS400/IBM i, COBOL and DB2.
Experience with Aldon or similar source/version control tools.
Experience working across the full SDLC, especially in banking/payments.

Responsibilities

Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into application solutions.
Perform end-to-end development activities including design, coding, testing, implementation and warranty support.
Develop and enhance core banking/payment applications using COBOL.
Work with AS400, DB2 and Aldon within the application development environment.
Participate in SIT, UAT, production implementation and post-implementation support.
Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Collaborate with business users and technical teams across APAC to ensure timely delivery.
Prepare and maintain relevant technical and project documentation.
