Job summary

Luxoft Malaysia is seeking a skilled AS/400 Consultant to join a newly established Tech Centre in Kuala Lumpur. You will develop, enhance and support AS400/DB2 based Channels & EAI applications, using RPG, C and Java, and contribute to payment processing solutions.

Responsibilities include analyzing changes, implementing fixes, building interfaces to core banking systems, and supporting DevOps in AS400 environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in AS400 application development.
• Proficient in RPG.
• Proficient in C.
• Proficient in Java.
• Hands-on with AS400/DB2.
• Experience with Channels/EAI/integration applications.
• Exposure to payment-related systems or transaction processing.
• Experience using ALDON for deployment/version control.
• Working knowledge of AS400 operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Channels & EAI applications on AS400.
• Build and support applications using RPG, C, and Java.
• Perform impact analysis and implement change requests, enhancements, and fixes.
• Support payment process flow related applications.
• Develop and maintain interfaces between channel systems and core banking apps.
• Ensure reliable data exchange and transaction processing across integrated systems.
• Work with AS400/DB2 for data processing, validation and support.
• Handle batch processing and application-level troubleshooting.
• Support DevOps activities in the AS400 environment.
• Use ALDON for version control and code migration.
• Testing & release support.
• Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT.
• Assist with release implementation and post-deployment validation.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to interfaces and channel integrations.

• The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
