Oversea Enterprise Berhad is seeking a skilled Baker/Pastry Chef to join our Malaysian bakery team. You will prepare breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts while maintaining high quality, hygiene, and presentation standards.

Responsibilities include recipe execution, ingredient measurement, equipment handling, and assisting with decorations and special orders. The role requires 2–3 years of baking experience, relevant certification is advantageous, and flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in baking, pastry or related field.
• Certificate/Diploma in Pastry, Baking, Culinary Arts or related discipline is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation and cake decoration.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and produce a variety of cakes, pastries, breads and desserts according to recipes and production requirements.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, appearance and product quality.
• Prepare and measure ingredients accurately according to standard recipes.
• Handle baking equipment, ovens, mixers and other kitchen tools safely and efficiently.
• Develop and improve recipes, products and presentation when required.
• Assist in cake decoration, finishing and product presentation.
• Monitor baking times, temperatures and product quality.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bakery and work area in accordance with food safety standards.
• Monitor stock levels of baking ingredients and inform the supervisor of replenishment needs.
• Minimise wastage and ensure proper portion and ingredient control.
• Assist with special orders, events and other production requirements.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
